The study stated: “The formation of a night patrol police force composed of all women will instil confidence in female tourists and intervene in emergency situations.” Sheikh said the investigation involved interviews with 400 domestic and foreign tourists visiting Goa.

“When the environment is safe, the visitor is also safe. If the travel and tourism industry emphasises security, it will have a good chance of surviving,” the research paper said.
